Abstract

The development of da'wah institutions in Indonesia has driven changes in human resource management (HRM), shifting from traditional, charisma-based practices toward more professional, competent, and technologically adaptive systems. This study aims to analyze the historical and strategic evolution of HRM in da'wah institutions. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method based on relevant academic sources. The findings indicate that HRM in da'wah institutions has evolved from value-based management and charismatic leadership toward management practices emphasizing professionalism, competence, human resource development, and digitalization. The implementation of strategic human resource management (SHRM) is increasingly important for improving the effectiveness and sustainability of da'wah organizations. However, challenges remain in integrating spiritual values with the demands of professionalism. This study concludes that an ideal HRM model for da'wah institutions should strategically integrate Islamic values, professional competencies, and the use of technology.
