Abstrak

The slametan tradition is a form of acculturation between Javanese local culture and Islamic teachings that has been going on for centuries. As a ritual that includes elements of prayer, tahlil, and alms, slametan reflects the integration of Islamic values such as tawhid, gratitude, and ukhuwah Islamiyah into cultural practices. This research aims to examine how Islamic da'wah values are integrated in the slametan tradition, the Islamic elements contained in it, and the challenges faced in its implementation. Using the literature study method, this research found that slametan is not only an effective means of da'wah but also a tool to strengthen social relations in society. Despite facing challenges such as heresy criticism and the influence of modernization, slametan remains relevant through implementation innovation and educational approaches. In conclusion, the slametan tradition is a cultural heritage that not only preserves local wisdom but also supports Islamic da'wah in a harmonious and contextual manner.
